Our First Merchant: Six Months with Riviera Prawning

Riviera Prawning became VOUCHIA's first merchant in April 2026. What began with zero followers became a community of 1,714 by our 28 September snapshot. More importantly, working alongside the team helped turn everyday operational needs into better tools.

New merchant-customer relationships created each month, not exact month-end follower balances. April started at zero; the merchant counter recorded 1,714 followers on 28 September. Relationships may later be unfollowed or corrected; September is incomplete.

Percentage of that month's visiting customers who checked in on at least two separate Singapore-calendar days that month. April: 1 of 1 (too small to compare); May: 8/121; June: 71/515; July: 69/440; August: 83/494; September: 63/424 through 28 September. These are observed check-ins, not proof that any feature caused repeat visits.

The road from April to September

April — Riviera Prawning joined as our first merchant. We began recording its customer relationships and the earliest check-ins, learning how a busy prawning venue actually works.

May — More customer visits and relationships entered the system. The practical focus was getting digital check-ins and merchant-customer records into daily use.

June — Riviera's growing audience and social posts showed how a merchant could bring offers and customer activity together. Across VOUCHIA, voucher claiming and follow-on customer relationships continued to develop.

July — A 30 July session revealed vouchers issued under the wrong type. We corrected those records and kept the merchant's voucher totals accurate. Digital voucher operations were becoming a real-world workflow, not just a demo.

August — Riviera staff needed to issue the same voucher again shortly after an earlier batch. Their request led to a confirmation step: accidental double-taps still trigger a warning, while intentional re-issues can proceed.

September — The Regular Customers Report arrived, with Super, Weekly, Monthly and Lost Regular groups and a way for merchant admins to reach out personally. Riviera was the first merchant considered for this flow. The month's repeat-visit rate is still provisional and lower than August's.

Built by listening

The steady progress here is in the product and the partnership—not a claim that every metric rose every month. Thank you, Riviera Prawning, for putting VOUCHIA to work and telling us what needed to change.
